Hurt and confused Cody decided to take a walk alone into the mountains. When he got to one of his favorite spots, he stopped and raised his arms to the heavens. He cried out, “Oh, spirit! Please make me strong so that I can be the mightiest hunter in the village.” At that moment he saw a great gray wolf and was very afraid! Cody ran for his life. The wolf followed close behind. He ran and he ran until he found a big snow mound to hide behind. But the wolf found him anyway. When Cody saw the wolf again, he said, “Oh, Mr. Wolf, please don’t hurt me.”
